86 :: Naked Heat

I was never a big fan of the Naked palettes, but I’ve been really really excited when this palette was first announced.The palette was officially released in Malaysia on the 13th of July. As a Sephora gold member and also Urban Decay’s beauty junkie member, I managed to get early access to the palette — 9th of July. But alas I was sick for a whole week so I didn’t mange to play with the palette until recently.

Let’s take a moment to appreciate the amazing packaging though.

Absolutely beautiful!

85 :: SABER ALTER

I’ve recently gotten a Fujifilm X100F, dumping the DSLR for a new premium compact camera (so yay now more camera phone photos! Even though the back camera on my phone is actually pretty good imo) Decided to do some test shots with it. The lighting was really horrible since it’s night time, and my room is really dim.

I actually got Saber Alter a couple months ago when it was released, but Continue reading

84 :: UD x BASQUIAT

Urban Decay x Basquiat

Image taken from Urban Decay’s official site.

When the collab was first announced, I was super stoked! I wanted to get my hands on the whole collab immediately but had to wait patiently until it was released. The official release for the US was on 20th April, Malaysia’s was later. Sadly I didn’t manage to get the vault since they didn’t sell it in Malaysia (I should have gotten from the US dammit) Let’s just move on to the swatches!

From left: Gold Griot, Gallery Blush palette, Tenant. Lipsticks: Epigram, Abstract

I got almost everything except for one lipstick (I bought 2 of the same ones though, the extra is not in the picture above), and the 2 eye pencils. I have to point out that all the packaging is wrapped is a canvas-like material to replicate the feeling of it being artworks rather than just a flat plastic/paper packaging.

Let’s start with the neutrals palette, Continue reading

83:: The DIE tag

 I’m sure people have heard of  the Ride or Die tag.

I love drugstore products, BUT its really a hit or miss, as quality over quantity sometimes. But I am such a cheap ass that I love anything good from the drugstore. Today, however I am going to review some of the makeup items (+ 1 skincare) that needs to be thrown as far as possible.

I regret buying them so much but they still cost money so I have a hard time trying to throw them. 🙁

My skin is combo oily t-zone and dry everywhere else , I have sensitive skin as well as dry patches.

Perfect subject to test on I might say.

I don’t know about you, but when they said ‘subtle’ on their site, they meant it.

82 :: 大阪 JAPAN DAY 2

DAY 2 LET’S HAVE KOBE BEEF

KERA ARENA

This is the day that can be considered as the day Yooker aka me- spends the most money in the group. KERA ARENA (Kera shop)be the death of me. Carrying a lot of different brands in the building, I mainly wanted to shop for my favorite – ALGONQUINS.

Before we went there, we did stop by Closet Child. Closet Child is a shop that sells some new, but mainly preloved lolita and gothic/punk clothing. We spent most of the time in there looking for a lolita skirt for our friend. I didn’t see anything I really liked (there were a few from Vivienne Westwood but they were too expensive) After getting what we needed, we walked to Starbucks right next to the KERA building as it was really cold out.

View from inside Starbucks.

I collect Starbucks tumblers so I got one of Osaka. I forgot what drink it was but it was pumpkin (not pumpkin spice latte though).

I forgot the price of the drinks there but I’m quite surprised they have a “small” there, which is smaller than a Tall sized drink. The variety of snacks and desserts there was pretty impressive as well.

——– THIS IS THE PART WHERE JQ AND I WENT CRAZY AND NEVER TOOK ANY PICS CAUSE WE WERE TOO BUSY JUST BUYING STUFF SO I’LL SKIP IT AND TELL A SHORT STORY AT THE END TOGETHER WITH THE LOOT PICTURE ——–

81 :: 大阪 JAPAN DAY 1

Let me just put this here. That’s how productive my 2016 has been that I never wrote anything to continue.

I should get slapped for this, please forgive me. I’m finally going to update the blog about one of the best trips I’ve ever had with my favorite people. I’ll try to remember as much details as possible (with the help of photos throughout the trip).

Day 1 OTAKU DAY OUT

We went to Nipponbashi Den Den Town and Tsutaya, Dotonburi.

Bless winter. The hot weather all year long in Malaysia is unbearable.

80 :: The Ordinary

I suck at chemistry.

Let me tell you this before I start my small review.

The first time I came across this brand was when Wayne Goss mentioned it in his videos, I just glanced at it and it didn’t cross my mind to actually try. One fine day when a friend told me that she wanted something from Beautylish, then I finally took my time to research about the products from the brand. They had such confusing chemical names?? Like I’ve never really cares about skincare before and suddenly things like Alpha Hydroxy Acids and BHAs came out of nowhere. Till this day I still can’t wrap my head around it.
