7 :: Bangkok Travels (pt2)

The day started with Romeo and I going Chatuchak weekend market (as my brother was dead asleep). We’ve decided on taking the MRT to the market. It was pretty convenient for us staying at Asoke area where there’s both the BTS and MRT. From Asoke, we took the MRT all the way to Kamphaeng Phet station. The moment we walked out, we were in the middle of the market!

The market was HUGE. I don’t think we’ve even explored a quarter of it before leaving. Clothes, food, souvenirs, probably anything you can think of, you can find at the market. I bought a t-shirt and a bag there, wish I could have shopped more hahaha.

and of course an obligatory food photo!!

So later on in the afternoon, we went back to Terminal 21 to hang out for a bit before meeting my friends in the evening for dinner. (yes yes I’m meeting friends every night while I was there haha)DSC_1061

They took time off their busy schedule to meet up ;; /touched. This was at Eukie’s restaurant, where I never knew the name actually LOL.

The photos of dessert and when we just got started hahaha. Ordered A LOT more after that.

————-Day 4—————-

The night of the dinner, we somehow ended up talking about the Husky Cafe which led to Cat Cafes too. I’m a cat person more than a dog person so I HAD to visit the cat cafe!! My friend linked me to one of the cafes called Purr Cat Cafe Club.

Location Soi Sukhumvit 53 Sukhumvit Road, Bangkok, Thailand 10110
Hours
Mon – Thu: 11:00 am – 8:00 pm
Fri – Sun: 11:00 am – 9:00 pm
Public Transit BTS (Bangkok sky train) at Thonglor station – exit 1, walk along around 800 m.

It was actually pretty easy to find. I probably died from the cuteness of the cats several times when I was in there. Also trying not to spam too many photos of cats in my post here!

Romeo and I named the cats after Game of Thrones characters too. It was really amusing.

DSC_1069The whole place was a playground for the cats.

We didn’t really want to leave the place but we had to meet up with another friend of mine at a place called Gateway Ekamai, a Japanese themed mall. Though slightly disappointing as most of the shops were closed, possibly like a dying mall. It had pretty nice food stalls though.

After leaving Ekamai, we went back to our hotel for awhile to rest before meeting up with another friend of mine, Vashi for dinner lol! We walked to Phrom Phong BTS station to meet up with him and walked to somewhere called Chiba Cham! A Japanese restaurant area.

I really liked the menu, they have giant sized stuff for a lot of the food and drinks LOL.

The chicken, wasn’t even the largest sized one yet X___X and we all ordered the giant sized drinks.

DSC_1109I wished we could take a normal pic someday (not happening)

So that was the last night in Bangkok! Romeo had an early flight and my brother and I had an afternoon flight but had to leave earlier as the airport was quite a distance.

The blue skies in Malaysia when we were 10 mins away from landing. But it was actually raining in KL lol.

I’d probably go back to Bangkok again. So many more places to explore and I love the people, the food and the culture there. (of course, more cat cafe!!)

  1. Wow! Judging from the fact that you had to separate these into two different parts just makes it appear as though you’ve had a really fulfilling vacation and really had a lot to do! You’ve definitely taken a lot more pictures of your vacation than I did. That or you just posted more than I did ahaha.

Since I’m making this a summary comment for both, I’ll just leave this comment on this blog entry.

So that Mako reference. The moment I saw it, I knew exactly what you were doing and I was laughing right after I saw it. All that’s next is Ryuko to appear right next to you! That cafe looked really comfortable though! I think the chairs really give it some kind of relaxing atmosphere that isn’t found in most traditional restaurants.

You also took a lot of pictures of your food which I found great ahaha. I also have to give you kudos because the first thought that always goes through my head the instant food is brought to me is to eat it. It’s only after it’s already consumed that I’ve realized that I wanted to take a picture of it. Oh well, c’est la vie!

If only I wasn’t allergic to cats, I would have loved to go to that cat cafe. That just sounds… too cute. Rather amazing too how they really designed the place just so that it would be the perfect playground for them.

I really enjoyed reading about your adventures! It definitely sounded like it was filled with a lot of fun. Keep it up!

    1. One post seemed too long for me I think XD So two posts it is! I always enjoy my time in Thailand, lovely country. And I probably took a lot of pics… this isn’t even half of what I took.

Oh gosh hahaha if you were there with my friend and I, the moment we saw those spotlights our eyes sparkled and helped each other take Mako pose pictures.
I try to remember to take pics of the food there cause I tend to dig in before I do… XD

I’m semi-allergic to them so I got a rash after I visited the cafe hahaha. Even the cabinets and whatnot are actually stairs for the cats to move in. 😮
